All that way?............No, only about 20 minutes down the road for me!
No pics?.............Yes, I took a few pics but nothing more or better than had already been posted in Newbambeanos report. Perhaps Juju or some of the other TMF who were there have more pics to share?
Yes and he calls himself a Mini enthusiast...........Yes, have been for more years than I care to remember now, as must be the WP Cabriolet owner who drove all the way from Bristol just to stay for about half an hour yesterday!

Well, if you don't know what I look like, then fair dos. For those that have seen a pic of me, then grow some social skills!
It's far, far more creepy for someone t post on the internet "I saw you" than for someone to come up to you in person & ask if you are who they think you are.
Minikay - Nice to meet you. Hope you have fun in the midlands, and purlease guard those documents with you life, or Mike will have my ovaries for earrings!!

im sorry if this is already posted! but i found this discussion on the mini2 forum, about their thoughts on a bmw mini 50! there are a few guys on there which obviously are classic and bmw mini fans!
After 40 years of owning Minis and being involved since the very beginning of Mini Clubs forming in the late 1970's, it makes me despair to see comments from younger members of the Mini scene like yours aimed at fellow enthusiasts or their cars, just because they have an interest in the new MINI. Like you say many on MINI2 are classic and new MINI fans, have owned classic Minis in the past or like me are lucky enough to own both types.
I am a regular on TMF and MINI2.com and have rarely found any new MINI enthusiasts who dislike classic Minis or there owners and just want to see a united Mini/MINI community.
The problem some classic owners like Taffy still seem to have with BMW is a completely separate issue and should not be aimed at new MINI owners who at the end of the day are just car enthusiasts like yourself, who take a pride in their cars.
Next year at some of the shows (whether I have brought my classic Mini or new MINI) come over for a chat and find out if we are really as nasty as you think?

to be honest I wouldn't find anything particularly in common with BINI owners, any more than I would with the Austin Maxi owners club.
Their different cars appealing to different people?
