ive had my dreads for 3-4 years, they are not easy to maintain!!! if you are determined to keep them go for it. but they are hard work. mine are all natural. no back combing or knotting of any type. dreads look really good as the more the start to mat, so dont worry about what the look like. good idea is when drying your hair go mental with the towl. this helps to knot the dreads and stops them from pulling too hard on your head.

Hey satvinder cool pic loving the dreads >_<

It's now 4.5 months since I brushed my hair, it's looking more and more messy, and I'm having to regularly pull 2 dreads apart! :w00t:

Most of those curls and twists have knots in them now though  It's been nearly 5 months since I brushed my hair :D

First pic you can see where my hair has separated into future dreadlock sections which have knots in but don't look dready yet, second pic you can see actual knottyness on the side of my head :D

Josh is knotting up too, he's a month or so further in than me and more knotty, but his knots are mostly on the back of his head so you can't see them in that pic :P
