I like the natural look ^_^ I may get a crochet needle later on for the odd bit of maintenance, but they need to do alot more forming by themselves before it's ready for that ^_^ Do you have any picaroos of your dreads? I have not had any funny looks yet at my messy hair, earned one comment from a girl who said quietly "brush your hair" as she walked past me in a supermarket :shifty: I just laughed to be honest :P

I can't wait til they look more dreadlike (ie immediately resogniseable, just messy atm), I want to see peoples' reactions!

When I told my mum I was expecting her to be irritated but she remembered I wanted to do it years ago so it was coo'

yeah I decided to backcomb mine as my hair was a bit too short to do them naturally. even with the natural process i would have thought that u would need to rip them into sections still. I used to find that mine would all join together after washing and it was a tad painfull ripping them back into their original sections! this is particularly important at the back of your head as these matt quickest as you sleep on them.

my mum hated mine, every time i saw her she'd go on and on and on

I remember one time some wreckhead asked me if i had any horse tranquiliser, to which i replied 'no, because i am not a vet' he was not best pleased!!

i'll try and get some pics up for u...

Cool

Mini update: One of my locks knotted lopsidedly and has now completely doubled back on itself :D I'll take a pic tonight, it looks silly :D

Looks like it's knotting more as well so it might stay like that! ;D

I think you should add a stage 1 tuning kit maybe some group 2 arches? ;D

Would increase the speed of knotting and make it look good :dontgetit:

Lol Greasy :P

I forgot to put a pic up of my doubled back knot  ... So here it is ;D It's not easy to photograph but you can just about see the end of the hair coming out the top left of the dread as you look at the pic...

And here are a couple of other pics at 8 weeks, you can see some actual dreads in a couple of the pics but the main theme is MESSY! :dontgetit:

Its starting to get there! keep it up. I wish work would let me do something like that! I am barely allowed to go in any other colour shirt than white ;D

By the looks of your comments at the start of the thread, you sounded quite suprised that your work were happy for you to do it!

I was a little surprised it has to be said! To be fair, I normally wear my hair up at work and you barely notice a difference except that the short bits at the front are curly not straight

And the odd occasion I've worn it down people have said it looks really nice with waves and curls in it ;)

I just tried to have a count: I have 9 proper dreadlets, 1 rather poorly knotted affair, and lots of twists and mess :D
