Hi
I am pleased to soon be a Dad and the wife has just been to a baby fair.
She spoke to some push chair company and they said their chair fitted in the mini.
But she can't remember who they were.
So to all the parents out there.
What pushchair fits in the boot of the classic mini?

Thanks

Lloyd

PS Its a single fuel tank

well we always had trouble getting our normal "4 wheel" chairs in the boot, but last year i saw a couple at a show with a "3 wheel" chair, it went straight in with no problems.

i have no idea of the make and model and i guess they all fold down a little different, but its worth looking into :)

'Quinny' make three wheel buggies that fit into a mini boot.... I have a feeling all of the different models fit, but I'm certain that the 'Buzz' fitted in the boot of our friend's mini easily.... Here's their website: Quinny.com :)

Best thing to do is take the mini along when you're shopping and try before you buy!

Congratulations mate...

I've been through EXATLY the same... My daughter's 6 weeks old now... Our local mothercare often claim that a pram will fit in a mini, but now there's one guy who can say from personal experience :P

I've done a LOT of research, and found the Quinny Zapp is the only pram that will fold up small enough to fit in the boot of a mini (without a boot kit installed,) but you can only use it from 6 months onwards.

I'm currently using the silver cross £d setup which is FANTASTIC, but doesn't fit in the boot even nearly... I bought myself a cheapy little fiesta which will fit it in the boot (the car was cheaper than the pram) and this does nicely...

It's quite probably the best option, just to get a "sensible" runaround for 6 months, then the normal run of the mill baby stuff is no problem for you...

If you need a hand, PM me, and i'll give you a hand no problem :)

Cheers

Tom

thank you very much for the responce there.
I will be going down to mothercars soon to have a look.
I think a sling might be cheaper than the fiesta or roof box
Thank you again all

There is another pram we found on the Mothercare web site, (Petite Star Zia Stroller ) It looks very much like the quinny but you can use it from birth.

It is an online only, and not available in the mothercare shops.

I have no idea if it fits a mini, but it is cheaper than a Quinney and looks pretty small.

personally, i'd steer lear of any of the quinny looking things... they didn't look very nice, or very supportive...

The one that we've got manouveres like a tank, but it's REALLY comfortable for Lucy, and that's all that matters :D

re the comment about a sling, they're great. we have one of those too, but sometimes it's nice to be able to put her down and it's a bit of a pain in the arse to swap over who's carrying her with one of those

Thanks for that Kerrin. I will give it a look see.
I know the sling has pros and cons Tom but to be honest I think we were always going to use one. Just for walking the peak district at least.

thank you

We use ours too, but sometimes, the pram is easier... especially for walking round ikea and for her to sleep in while we eat our meatballs :D

These fold-up-in-the-boot ones are very expensive. If it's your first child why not just put the pushchair in the car? That's what I do.
