As you asked for input I will give you some advice if you dont mind?
The fibreglass on plastic apprach is not going to give you any real longevity and will eventually crack etc.
Get yourself a plastic welding kit, OR if youre tight like me use a soldering iron to melt the plastic together from the back and once joined use the same type of plastic (small slithers cut from dicarded sections) and melt is right into the joins at the front.
Sand the joins flat and hey presto is one solid plastic part that will flex with the car and take the expansion and movemnt from the heat that can build up inside the car durim hot summer shows etc.
I think its great to modernise the look of the interior and by using a dash thats completely different to the norm I think youre onto a winner.
I think it will look cracking once its done
