oh dear you dont have much luck with this do you lol.

Nope (again)

I didn't leave the house on time this morning as I had a puncture. Adding insult to injury it was one of my newly replaced tyres.

I put the spare on and will be off to the tyre place first thing tomorrow morning.

Yesterday afternoon, I put filler in the two holes and held the mirror in place for 20 minutes till it hardend, then left it over night to further harden.

Came outside this morning and somebody has kicked it off again!!!!!! :)

Right, its been a long time since I've updated this thread! Just goes to show that nothing has gone wrong with it for a while :w00t:

Just to let you know, the mirror has stayed in its place thanks to the filler despite being knocked and bent by passers by.

OK...

Yesterday I was sat watching tv when there was a loud CRUNCH! The cat, which was sat on my lap clawed me before jumping off in a panic. I look outside to find the car damged.

My Mini has been reversed into so many times now by my parents and other people visiting neighbours its getting silly. Unfortunately this time it wasn't just the grille that got damaged. The spotlight was well and truly smashed.

I cleared all the glass and taped up the wiring. I had a rumage through my spares and found that I had a pair of spare spotlights.

Today I drove accross to Dad's work where he helped me replace the old spotlights with the spares, while Henry his technician fitted the cigarette lighter.

aww no!! ;) That's ridiculous, you should slap your parents for constantly reversing into your mini!! :errr: tut tut

Glad your mini can see again now though

Though the filler in holding your mirror in doesn't sound too healthy  If it helps, Freddie's got loads of filler >_<

Get your mini sorted Dom!! :P

Tell me about it, my mum's "handbrake slipped" right into the front of my mini. Same results as above. What's more, her car is a BINI haha

Unfortunately, I only seem to update my project thread when something goes wrong with this car.

The garage called back to say that the...
  • rear radius arm
  • rear brake drum cylinder
  • rear shock absorbers
  • both driveshafts
... need replacing

So yet again it looks like my Mini will be missing Southern Mini Days this year unless I can source both driveshafts and get them fitted in time.

The driveshafts have been sourced but won't be arriving till next week. So for the second consecutive year, I'll be doing Southern Mini Days in a Vauxhall

Both driveshafts? Seems an odd thing to change.

The rest of it shouldn't be too hard to sort out, in fact I'm sure Minispares do built up recon radius arms quite cheaply.

EDIT: Didn't realise it was CVs.
