got a standard 1" exhaust if u require it. Might have the old brackets off it, which u can have for nowt, lemme know and i'll sort em out if needs be.

Good luck with it, exhausts can be a pain in the ass.

Yeah i noticed with mini's at college, they glow pink. Try to find one of them bright led type bulbs, they glow nice n red.

thanks mate, but would a 1" exhaust work ok with a 1275 cooper engine.

yeah im planning to buy some from ripseed, halfords.

i was also recommended by smoc to take my cat off because it doesnt help on a carb as it was an optional extra, and is legal if removed. My dad is annoyed with the exhaust and wants it to be sorted so the removal of the cat may be on the option list.

Well, the thing is LED bulbs are even more illegal than pink lamps.

Most aftermarket LED bulbs are no where near approved. They usually don't have the right light pattern or intensity. I know some new cars and lots of trucks and buses come with them but the companies spend loads getting them through approval, and the aftermarket companies don't want to do that.

Just read the boxes. It's like the 80 watt headlamp bulbs they sell. If they say something like 'for off road or display use only' you can bet your arse they 'aint road legal.

Oh, well in that case they have probably managed to get one approved. You may as well use it then, 'because if they print that you can blame them if anything comes of it anyway! And they'll be a lot more red than coated bulbs. I may get some myself.

If i were you, i would of took the oppurtunity to buy a sports exhaust, a maniflow would of been superb on a 1275 cooper (like mine :D:D). They ain't too loud either, just a nice deep pouring noise!

I am using them chrome bulbs, i must admit they ain't as bright as the red painted ones, but make a visual affect to the lights themself. i was sick of people telling me that one light was white, and the other one was pink, because for some reason the red painted ones were always flaking after a few hundred miles but only on the offside :S:S

Praise the guy who invented WD40! I installed a setup like yours today-RC40, link pipe to cat... cat bolts were solid, but the WD ( and a lot of elbow grease!) loosened them up - give it a try - believe me, MCM, when you hear the difference in the sound, you'll be glad you did! :P :P
