I set off, went to the car wash and met with some of the Kentish mini lot at Canterbury East Station at 7 am.
We drove to the old little chef to meet the spectacular clubman estate, which we then followed to the hop farm to set up the stand.
These are the cars on the stand
Here are some pictures of the other cars at the show.
We packed up and left the hop farm around half five. Fantastic weather, great sunshine, great cars and pleasant atomosphere.

Both these doors look to be in good condition and have wing mirrors that fold in! Didn't know they existed!

He said that the door had been reskinned and underneath is not much better than my current door so its not worth the respray.
He said its not worth buying a new door and paying the price to get it resprayed and waxoiled etc because in 4 years time the rust will come back and the door will need replacing again.
So my best bet is to touch up the rust I have and spray it with a can and keep on top of it, which is what I will do.

While doing the Brands Hatch to Nurburgring Run I encountered a couple of problems. One of which was dodgy connections to the coil and the coil itself being faulty. While in Germany Dan fitted a new coil for me and Graem sorted out new connections, which solved the problem of it cutting out and making the rev counter dance about.
The other problem I had was for some reason the car would overheat very quickly. One possible answer is the thermostat needs replacing but another reason was the radiator cap seal, which was on the way out, so I have bought a new one and in the next few weeks I will see if that makes a difference.
Here are some recent pictures of the car.
During the run I drove 1012 miles from leaving my house and returning a week later.

Another possible fault to my jumping rev counter suggested by a friend was the ignition module on the distributor.
When sat in traffic the temperature gauge is back to its usual reading, so thats solved thanks to the new radiator cap seal... but the rev counter still likes to have a dance.
