Not being rude mate, and no offence is intended- but they are shi t!  :gasp:

My Nankangs (which came with the car) had about 4.5mm of tread left, but A539's were first on my shopping list!

Looks soo much better with '539s, they fill the arches so much more.

Right, I went to the TMF Kent meet, held at the Ashford and to get there and back I have to travel down a long national speed limit country road.

It was raining so usually grip is poor as it was with the last set of tyres I had but with these NanKangs the grip is superb! I can fling the car into corners at speed in the pouring rain and it still grips!

They maybe narrow and not look good but I am happy with them.

Thanks to 4x4CB I have the right CB aerial on its way tomorrow, and thanks to Minis84 I also have the CB radio itself also to be delivered tomorrow :dontgetit:

The aerial arrived yesterday, and the CB radio arrived today.

Last weekend I had a minor problem with my car. When I got up early and went to the Kent Modded car show I found that my left indicator was sticking. The front bulb had stopped working and the side and rear stayed on when I indicated. As it was early morning I couldnt do much and I was running out of time to meet the convoy, so I unscrewed it took it out and changed the bulb... no difference. So I headed off to the show in convoy... was a great show, more details HERE

When I returned from the show, I looked at the wiring and it had snapped so dad and I cut the wires, soldered them back together and it worked. Next day snapped... so used more solder. Few days later bear in mind havent driven it for a couple of days, attempt to drive off, indicate and it sticks. So went to town in dads car and bought a screw terminal block to screw the wires in. So far it has worked.

Yesterday wired in the CB radio, fitted the door bin and gave it a good hoover and wash ready for the KM Group photoshoot for the local paper about the Brands Hatch to Nuburgring Run.

Last few things to run through on the checklist today then I'll be all set to get up tomorrow at 5 and then head of to Brands Hatch.

It was more than comfortable enough, considering the extreme distance we drove in just 5 days.

Around the Ring, it stuck to the track like a train on a railroad, was very impressive.

Thanks Ash.

The cooper made it to the ring and back all 1002 miles with no problems

I have bought a number of Nurburgring Souveneirs e.g. a t-shirt, coat, cap, poster, and stickers for the cooper... pics of these will be modelled by myself and the car soon.

Thanks to Sue I have these pics of us at brands hatch... these pics have been sent to the local newspapers who are writing a report on my trip to the Ring!
