Maybe a quick power polish would buff up the boot enough, unless of course, it has been repainted.

Quick update, The passenger side front arch got knocked off when I drove past a parked car and the guy opened his door! :D

The arch has been replaced and am now waiting for a hot day to start rubbing down the rest of the car.
