Captain Jack (eponym of a fictional time traveller 'n sausage jockey

To dip in to a spot of evolutionary biology, any trait that survives countless generations of DNA splicing is natural. If women dropped a couple of thousand sprogs in the shallow end of your local leisure pool 'n left 'em to it, like your average amphibian, you'd have a point. Since mammals, and humans in particular, go a little further with parenting bit; there's a distinct advantage to being raised in a social group with a few spare adults knocking around, even if they do wear dungarees or have a taste for musical theatre.
There are many advantages for social animals to use sex for more than knocking out sprogs. Though, as you rightly observed, since it's main reason behind everything we do; batting for the other side can confer advantages on individuals in the baby making stakes too.
We're complex animals but everything we do has an evolutionary context: being queer, queer bashing, mixed race relationships, racism, even religious abstinence; they're all part of a reproductive strategy.
yeah shes in year 8, im in year 10. im constantly getting abuse about the age difference and get called a "pedo" which i really dont think is justified.
Alas the strategy that's most in vogue at the mo is a strong aversion to paedophilia, to the point where it's irrational hysteria. Once you turn 16, the law will apply to your amorous interests, just as it would to 40 year old in a dirty raincoat, without any distinction.

Wow this topic has been busy
Captain Jack (eponym of a fictional time traveller 'n sausage jockey),
good points as usual ethel(the bits I deleted just) but about the bit above....while the actor is gay, the character he play comes from a more open time, where you dont just have man and woman, you have aliens too and non-caporeal beings so he is very much pansexual(if you have to attache a name) as is dc who, if you saw them two flirt in one episode...it was the funniest thing ever!

When my Mr was in year 10, I was in playgroup - aged 3!

Age makes absolutely no difference and it really doesn't matter!

Same here, nearly; when I was leaving primary school, my Mr was collecting his degree. He's 9 years older than I am, and we're so happy

Don't let them give you stick for it. They'll all be wanting younger women when they're in their 40s!

married to rachel we meet when she was 15

got a house when she was 18 me 22
married when she was 21 me 25
married for 18 years now
5 fantastic kids
and very happy
what others do or feel or think really dont bother me as long as they are not in my face about it
only thing that does get me about gay and lesbian people is when they decide to adopt kids
thier choice of life style means they can not have kids (naturaly??)
but yet they seem to think they can have it both ways
bit of this and a bit of that
either gay and no kids or straight and kids

I have to say I disagree there, to be honest. There is no reason, just because two loving, responsible people cannot have children naturally, that they should not be able to give a home to a child in need, just because of who they love.
