Made a lot more progress today on the lovingly named 'Boneshaker'

My reconditioned hinges and adapted door mechanisms (for the door poppers) arrived thanks to the guys at www.the-arc-angels.co.uk

Posted Image

Which meant i could get on with fitting the doors...

Posted Image

Posted Image

Also managed to remove the ugly old indicators, and fit l.e.d. ones behind the grille

Posted Image

Posted Image

I think this gives the front end a much cleaner look... especially when the Carbon bumpers arrive

Posted Image

I also managed to Tint my front headlights which should add to the overall black and gold look

Another good day on the boneshaker.... apart from....

Rust...

rust...

and more rust :closed:

Posted Image

Looks like i'm gonna have to find someone tat can weld.

Apart from that little upset, got a lot done, managed to re-fit the tinted lights and add the spring and catch to the bonnet so it closes properly.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Another major advancement is that i managed to fit the door solenoid to one of the doors... and... get it to work!!!

Posted Image

note the temporary wires :)

Now the photo's really dont show just how well the poppers work, so I have uploaded a vid of them in action on youtube...

The last one looks like i'm just hiding inside and pushing it out so here's one from the inside

Doors look great! Considering them myself...

What sort of glass/perspex are you planning to use?

Your project looks wicked, and i really love the doors.

Just wondering were you got the door solenoids and poppers from??

Cheers

At the moment i'm unsure about who i'm getting the perspex from though it'll probably be 'plastics for performance' google em >_< as for the solenoids i just got them off ebay.

Your best bet is to check here

www.the-arc-angels.co.uk

as they did me a bit of a deal because I supplied the bumpers to make the moulds
