Today i have been pondering the rear doors
When i bought the car it was fitted with a very badly fitting single piece door

Posted Image

To me it looked awful so i i bought some twin fiberglass doors, but this threw up another question...

do i keep the rear windows blanked....

Posted Image

or do i fit tinted polycarb ones with perhaps some high level brake lights behind them....

Posted Image

what do you guys and gals think?

:o

I thought my wheels were rare! and yet i get a text today from a mate thelling me he's seen a set of 5 for sale at a mini show for £50 >_<
Two min's later and i am the proud owner of another set of five, still don't know what they are, although these have 500, made in england and 10x5 stamped on them... now i know what two of those mean

Now what shall i do with 14 wheels?

:turtle:

Finally, got some time to work on the mini today..... yay

Started by doing a spot of rear end stripping... ahem

Posted Image

The car was (when i bought it) originally fitted with a single rear door, so with a bit of fettling i managed to find the hinge holes in the other side and rid them of their filler.

Off some old metal doors i managed to find a right set of hinges, these were duly stripped off and with the other set now resemble this......

Posted Image

I have ordered 4 sets of hinge refurb kits from mini spares and from this site http://www.stagonset.co.uk/ i,ve ordered some lovely shiney bolts to fix the hinges and doors back on the body ;D

Posted Image

While I was stripping I removed the rear bumpers, I'm gonna get these re made in carbon as they weigh alot and as they say every little helps! :P
