Hows that rat
I agree I think that, that car is just broken, either that or hes taken things off for extra cooling, the paint is waaaaayy to good to be a deliperate rat car. Just a drift car I think.
Either way I love this car, looks brilliant.

We had it on the drag strip at Avon for the BMC Mini Showdown last weekend. It managed a very respectable 17.9 second 1/4 mile.
We also had it on the rolling road. 68BHP at the wheels, and at peak 97 torques. 122mph flat out. Not bad!
We've also been collecting parts for a slight mechanical upgrade. It should be getting fitted in a few weeks, so check back soon....

When it got to my house it looked like this:
Didn't take long to get the head and manifolds of:
With no nasty surprises lurking, the head is on it's way to a local engine builder for some meat taking out of the chambers to ger the Compresion Ratio down.
We'll be fitting an upgared Metro T3 Turbo. It's had a flowed exhaust manifold and elbow and has a billet actuator with a 12 pound spring.
Standard manifold:
Modified manifold:
Standard elbow:
Modified elbow:
Getting the best from an a series engine in any form is all about the flow of the gases. The elbow modification alone gives a 5 BHP gain.
We have a modified plenum and boost pipe, ready for an intercooler.
And a bailey dump valve.
It will be getting a MG Metro Cam:
A Peko Exhaust
We've fitted the van's original gear box with a 3.1:1 Crown wheel and pinion
But there's no point having loads of power if you can't get it into the gearbox. So we've got a pre verto clutch setup and a pedal box for hydraulic clutch:
A pair of new master cylinders are in the post, as the two that are fitted look shot...
