Standard ride height actually. We don't want to lower it as we use it to carry engines around too!

That's pretty much standard ride height.

It's made for lugging loads, as well as looking good, not for going round bends like a lotus

Ahh fair doo's the engines will make it lower

Got a few bits of servicing and repairs to do in this. Rally starts in 8 weeks!

We have been fettling!

I changed the oil...



... mainly onto the garage floor due to 5l not fitting into a 4.5l can

Then we put some stickers on







Then we adjusted the back brakes and tightened the hand brake cable.

Over the weekend we replaced the speedo drive in the gearbox, which didn't fix the speedo.
So that's an engine out job at some point. Either that or just carry on as we are...

We sorted out the cold start circuit for the ignition. Starts up when it's cold now without having to bodge a wire on.

We also swapped the distributor for a spare Aldon item while the original MG one is off at M.L. Motorsport to get the advance curve modified.

Should sort out the lack of poke in the mid range.

The rally is only a month away, so we've been busy getting the van ready.

We've changed the fuel door for a silver one (too much yellow on the van!) kindly donated by a member of the Metro Owners Club.

We managed to pick up 4 nearly new p600's, so now they are fitted.

We also tinted the rear window for security reasons

4 matching silver wheels just didn't fit in with the van's image. So...



We've also been getting the electrical essentials for the rally sorted too.

Currently the van is currently recieving some treatments from a friend of a friend.

I had to pump up my sus when picking up a VTS engine.

Nah, its back upto 4x4 stance now. i Body Roll!

You need a rear anti-roll bar like we have then. We also plan on individualising the rear suspension at some point.
