With a good few turns on the mixture screw it runs nicely.
We've put a new relay in for the starter, so now we have control of when the starter runs
Some of the interior is back in and we've made a start butchering the dash for the gauges.
Starting to look like a propper engine bay again
Feels like we're nearly there now.

With a little 'loading' from the brakes we managed to produce 0.6bar of boost (8.7psi) before I bottled it as we haven't properly set the mixture.
The dump valve works too!

With some fluid through it and a lot of adjustment the clutch works and it moves under it's own power again.
It's not good enough to drive yet, so we need to look into longer/adjustable rods for the slave cylinder to clutch arm.

and in this one the crank position sensor
im guesing your going to connect all this up later and then Remove the Coil and Dizzy?
Just wondering are you using a kit or have you canabalised the whole system from another car?
If so id be interested to see how its done as the price for magajolt/storm type systems are soo expensive
Nice to see somebody keeping a Metro on the road
Yes they are a good source of goodies for our minis but if we keep canabilising them there will be non left on our roads anymore
Great Project

Today we've been out and done my least favorite job - soldering. I was pleased to see that everything worked first time, which makes a change for me.
The result of this was the megajolt in, working and mapped. Good bye crappy distributor!
I had thought it would be a pain to get the mgajolt wired up and working, but it wasn't it was litteraly join the wires and fire it up.
It's pretty much sorted now, just a few PITA jobs and then it can go for test at the end of the month and all being well be taxed on April 1st. I've typed it now, so I'm commited....

Was it hard to map the MJ, or did you load up a map from a similar spec engine?

It's a standard metro turbo map of the internet. Just a nice safe one to start with until we can get it on the rollers
