Yea i was going to say loads of people keep banging on about a full cage with a carbon fiber roof, but the majority of the strength in in the seams, and having a full webasto sunroof proves this as it provided no strength to the roof as it just sits in the huge hole and is held in by some rubbish little bits of ally.

You do actually keep quite a bit of the roof with a full Webasto, plus it has frame which provides some rigidity, and the poles of the actual Webasto. With a composite roof, the actual roof is a lot more flexible, and you are chopping out much more of the roof. For general driving around town you probably won't notice, but for fast/track driving and a crash situation, I know which Mini I'd prefer to be in. And the roof does give the shell quite a bit of strength.

Maby i dont notice as much because i use mine mainly on the road... Also my roof is just cut for a webasto and the CF roof ontop of that, i didnt bother cutting more out.
