i had to swap the driveshafts over and adapt the new rod change gear linkage in which after some serious head scratching i worked it out so i could use the original bracket in the tunnel just behind the housing and the new rod change mount bracket. i simply welded a piece of metal with a bolt hole onto the rod change bracket so the bolt hole lined up with the existing hole on the old remote tunnel bracket and secured it with a nut and bolt. its so simple to do. although i might use a cotton reel instead of the bolt as it vibrates a little from being very rigid.
also i have it booked into T&M in colchester for a rolling road and tune up on wednesday at 2pm. im hoping to eek even more power from it.

I really like black tulip, it's a really good colour from a decade that didn't produce many good colours.
I resprayed my mini in black tulip a few years ago. It's been stripped off now...which is probably for the best!

All the best Minis are in Colchester (Braintree is not far).
Did you go to the 2011 Marks Tey show? I may have some pics of your Mini? We stumbled on it as its at the end of our road.

here are some pictures of my two new floors, they also repaired the box sections in the rear bins. they have done a really good job on them. the wet marks on the floors are where i was wiping them down for my pictures as they had some dust on them. i need to get them painted up but i dont know what to do them in. i have been reading up about various finishes like rustoleum, hammerite, por15 etc but not sure. i know i need to get something on soon though.
i was at the marks tey show last year yes. i can remember standing under one of the stalls when it hammered down with rain lol.

i am going to change my exhaust to an RC40 twin box side exit as the maniflow is great but loud. it does my head in after about 30 mins lol. also where it has been sat for a while the paint had got little bits all over it. i think i will need to flat it over and G3 it.
i am toying with fitting some other spot lamps, but dont know what ones or how many. i dont want it to look like a more modern mini but i could do with some more light on the road. any ideas anyone?
