its still the 998cc i did think about changing it over, i have the 1275? engine but not sure now... again.

how do you get the drivehshafts off to get the engine out?

im having some trouble haha

mot today just in time for MITP. it failed on a steering rack gaitor split which i changed over when i got back home, got it back after an hour for the retest.

i just fitted my new cobra classics and some new rear interior wheel arch covers. much nicer!

i have booked it in for a new front panel, wings, A panels, scuttle, bonnet, boot, door skins and frame repair topped off with a full respray. it goes in the week commencing 13th sept. the spending probably wont end there, once the new shiney paint is on i will replace some chrome. long time in coming!

mini is in at the moment, i went down to have a look and it isnt actually in bad shape. only a nearside front wing, boot and door skin needed. im going to leave the spot lights off for the time being. it should be done by the end of next week hopefully!

the respray is complete it looks brilliant. i didnt realise how bad the paint was before. its now all shiney and fresh. better pictures to follow.

i have decided to leave the lights off the front for the time being. so whats next for project blacktulip? i think the engine needs a rebuild with some goodies. im definately keeping the original old remote type gearbox. maybe a +20 rebore, flat top pistons, cam and head.

not quite the right seats.... yet. so i have some cobra classics for the time being. i have seen some brand spankers on the newton commercial website but they are way too expensive. i dont mind paying a good price but not that much.
