hope you got the present you were looking for

sadly it failed on a few bits...

play in upper ball joint
hub grease nipple snapped
front to rear brake line unsecure to body
front discs in poor condition
steering rack boot split

it should be ready tomorrow but i'm in no rush to get it back now. the moment has passed now :o

.... the story continues, whilst the were securing the clips to the floor pan the unearthed some horrors in the floor:( right under the crossmember it looks like this section was not replaced when the previous owner did the floorpans (which look quite badly done upon a closer look) :ermm: now the bill will rocket in price due to the welding needed. what i'm going to do is get it through the mot for now and save up for a whole new one piece floor to be welded and done properly. so for now it looks like the respray will have to wait untill this is done. for now i need to get some prices...

i have just bought another 998 engine which i'm going to strip down soon. i need to clear my shed out and install a light in there as i can see many hours going into it. i figured its best to go down this route rather than to have my car off the road whilst the mods are carried out. this way it will be one in and one out in one day hopefully lol.

i tried to fit my new door cards today, whilst the fronts went on nicely the rears didnt fit due to the ash trays in the side bins fouling the card. i dont know what to do about it. im sure as hell not cutting the ash trays out. i might tray and cut the door cards usin the old one as a template but i need to be very carefull.

also my heater temperature sensor in the head has broken its terminal off. i have a spare but cant find it lol.

i had to fix my sppedo cable. what a job. i ended up taking the rad hose off. with that now ok, next on the list is to change the temp sensor in the head. the old one has snapped on the terminal.

also i might be changing my exhaust to a twin box one so its slightly more civilised.

spent the weekend fitting my new gaz dampers and hi los. i took it for a run and they were set too low. i think my rubber cones are past it so ordered 4 new genuine ones. i was lucky though as they are in very short supply at the moment.

also looking at my rear subframe, it looks like it only has a few years left.
