Pulling harder with the new head? is it a 12g295 head?

it does pull harder in mid range/top end but not alot really. its so much smoother to drive, it feels like it can cope alot better. the cam added would probably add a decent hike in torque. bearing in mind a full set up needed on the rollers. i will look into getting the dizzy sorted soon too as there is play in the spindle.

im not too sure about the cam now, cant choose between the sw5-07 or the kent 266, along with an adjustable duplex kit.

need to get my duplex kit and followers now, Mini_kel will be doing the cam in a few weeks for me :thumbsup: i also need to get my dizzy sorted out for when i book it into the rollers.

right, i have a bit of a dilema, to get the best from my current engine/head combo i really need to ditch the dished pistons for some flat top ones. this would mean a rebore or a hone at minimum and a full strip down. this seems a little far fetched seeing as a later A+ 998 would come with the flat top pistons anyway.... i would be better off money wise finding a running donor A+ 998 which would already be out of the shell and then adding my cam, head etc to that one. the one moral denting thought is i wouldnt have the original type engine for my mini which is going against my ideas in a big way.

hmmm.... you can always keep the original engine and re build it to a higher spec then drop it back in once your done...

i have just had some welding done on the rear floor along where the rear side door bin meets the floor, apparentely it was a strip about 30cm long. my welder said its very solid under there now. i should be fitting the front brakes soon and my wheels. they will go on lol.

the car has developed a strange wobble at low speeds, i think maybe the tie rod bushed may have perished or fallen out. i was going to have a good look tonight but the damn rain always comes when i dont want it to lol im going to buy myself a decent camera this week so expect lots of pics soon!
