i changed my door seals on saturday, when i pulled them off i unearthed some rot on the door steps both sides. so i have booked it into the bodyshop for new steps fitted and painted.

my fuel pump was leaking so i had to sort that out today. my engine has an older type AUF700 type fuel pump which breaks down into various parts for servicing. the later AUF800 pumps are sealed systems with need to be renewed as a whole unit. the seal in the top bowl was the culprit so i took it all apart and cleaned it, re assembled and it working fine now. i should see a few more mpg now too. my doorstep panels arrived yesterday ready for monday when they get done.

yeah thats to follow after the doorsteps, the reason i cant get the wheels on is i need to change my brakes over first and for that i need somewhere to do it lol the xmas holidays will be a good time to do it i think. i might overhaul the s brakes first with new pads, bearings and maybe seals if they could do with them. its a shame really as my drums actually work well. pics to follow..

before i fit the 's' brakes i'm going to give them a refurb just to be on the safe side. its a shame the wheels wont fit on standard drums as they would be on by now.

i have to sort out my wiper motor and runner, they stop working unless the window is really wet. not good for this weather, i have to pull over and give them a nudge when i cant see much.

the head is now fitted, i did it this morning, took it out for a run... i must say its rather nice lol. it has made driving a whole lot smoother, i just wish i had a 266 cam installed too. i think i may need a different needle though. at the moment....well impressed :shifty:
