I think I've managed to get my hands on a set of these arches. I say "I think" as the ones I have certainly look very similar and wrap around the rear valance like the ones pictured, but they'll need alot of fettling to get to fit as nice as the ones above. I'm not sure if I have an original set or copies, does anyone know if the genuine originals would have needed alot of trimming and fettlng to get a decent fit? The ones I have are fibreglass with a green gel coat on the outer face.
cheers

i'm thinking about removing the lipped edges on my arches. Opinions?
Miss-matched ABS Motorsports' Group 2 Wide on the rear and Group 5 Works on the front. Because of the hassle of filling holes and re-painting, I never got around to fitting the Group 2 Wide arches on the front. It's on my list of things to do...

Fitting 6 x 10 on Friday and looking to fit cooper drums with the fixed spacers on the rear, but I'd also like to go wider on the arches from what I have.
I have the option of 3 choices available locally, W&P , GP5 and Sports pack. What would be the better option?
Cheers

Hi all,
does anyone know the legal aspect of fitting arches? For some reason, I seem to think the boys in blue don't like them, if the wheels stick out beyond the arch, but that maybe folklore? In about half of the ones pictured, the tyres seem to protrude further than the arch. I asked a local retired bobby and he said he couldn't remember, but thought maybe about 1/2" of stick-out was OK, but I wouldn't want to test it.

Looks mint! I'd leave them on as it is, the chrome gives a bit of separation between the arches and the tyres.
Are your front arches these GP5's?:

I'm getting new arches soon and stuck between choosing GP5 works or GP2 wide!
Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback - I've decided to leave them as they are. In fact, I rather like them this way, and they do help keep the car cleaner.

Yes, those are the ones I've got in the front. The GP2 Wide came from ABS Motorsports.
Gav, I'm sure your local MOT station could help you with respect to how much the tire/tyre is allowed to protrude beyond the arch?

I did now want something that looks plastic or bolted on, so once I had my wheels and tires, plus front disc brakes and rear spacer I formed what I wanted.
