seems quite reasonable, was he in reasonable nick to start with?
I've been pricing up panels and I'm up to 2k already - thinking a re-shell might be more cost effective.

Nope.... I originally paid £350 for him. Poor thing had lived outside under a tree. He was at least 65% rust, bless him.

Monty had everything apart from his roof replaced in terms of panels... >< It was the only part of him that wasn't rusty!!

List of things done:
- Full ground-up rebuild & waxoil.
- Engine reconned, repainted and tarted up.
- High gloss jet black paint job. (And anyone who's met him will tell you he's ridiculously shiny when polished up >_<)
- All grey trim replaced.
- Interior replaced with the best set I could find.
- Professionally re-carpeted in deep-pile black carpet with the rubber footpads.

Wow he sounds fantastic. Can't wait to meet him. I've never welded before so it's a choice of send her away to be done or invest blood sweat and tears.

If you can, I'd say invest the time and effort in learning to weld. I'd love to myself, but only having a council lock-up kind of puts the kibosh on that idea. It's nowhere near big enough to work in.

Yeah same predicament here, would need to build a wooden garage in the garden. Hmmm welding inside a wooden box. Could be fun.

Tempted to do some baking now. Chocolate cake mmmm.
Can anyone think of anything else that needs printing? I have the 2 banners and 2 posters, just need to do the flyers And the stickers and the big rose stickers for the marquees.

Think that's everything, although toting with doing a big happy birthday vinyl wrap for Mary.

Our local college only offers general vehicle mAintain courses, might have to go further afield. Defo a good idea though.
