Hello, im new to all this and got my first car, a 1988 designer, black on sunday. cant take it out yet, havent passed yet.

well thats me.. just looking for loads more info on it.. i know a fair bit, but cant find anyigng solid

what sort of info are you looking for?
if your interested as you have the car do you also want to collect stuff like me and gotta as if so theres a sale brochure on ebay atm

lol thts ok i dont mind i thought fair enough its a umbrella but meh lol iv brought practicly all the quant stuff iv waned i man lets put it this way iv spent nearly £450 in 2 days on bloody ebay!

but its only because the black one i wanted sold so i used that money

yeah im already higest bidder on that brochure.. i read about a little make up bag, now i bet that is rare.. what did it look like? I had to buy a new badge though, some git nicked teh original.

well i think like the other person said it was just black with mary quant writen on it in white but the white used to fade of if you used it

hello designer lover(pretzil) ,i used to own a black designer most of it's original bit's had already gone when i got it except the stickers outside!,part of the reg was eja.any of yours in this topic?if so check out the condition of the bodywork as that was the reason i let it go it was in very very poor condition!!

nah unfortunatly mines a f reg,you should have kept it if it was e that was one of the 1st ones

it was a f reg just did'nt want to say the whole number,it ended in eja .yep still have mini's now one on the road "frank" my daily driver and a mini van yet to restore .

i also read the feature on designers in mini mag (michelle's car,very nice)keep up the good work peeps

I was watching the umbrella too... and the brochure!! I got my designer a month ago - she's called Daisy (in true MQ style!)

Can we play out for L2B? When is it?

PS Pretzil - I live really near the place that was selling the seats for £60 and went the other day - its an amazing huge warehouse full of mini stuff - and I got a Mary Quant steering wheel for £12.50

ok just for everyone whos interested in doing l2b with me next year in their designer,my plan is im going to *sadly* but in my mind extacticly dress up a manakin as mary quant and put her in the back seat with all the stuff im collecting up,then when i get there set up a gazeebo and do a display with memorobelia and stuff explaining her life as a fashion icon and also stuff about the designer
im probably going to dress up and would love if other people would to
