Check this out....

I was waiting at a local set of traffic lights on route to work yesterday morning, what should pull up next to me but a brand new blue Landy with a gent inside frantically gesturing at me. Fearing the worst, I wind down the window and get:

"Beautiful Designer... I've got a white one. Hold on, you're Michelle aren't you - from Minimag? I've been meaning to join your club!! What's the web address?"

I nearly died!

I saw the link in minimag - and thought - "Hehe, so proud!"

Also saw the guy I bought mary from... Page 115 bottom right! Which made me feel a little safer.

I think as soon as I get the money together to buy all the parts I will be begging and pleading with everyone to come help me fit them - as I am by no means a mechanic.

I was thinking earlier, I do have a 9m x 3m gazebo, which would prob be big enough to fit 3-4 minis plus a display - but not sure if we would be allowed to take up that much space (plus its a bugger to erect)

i may be able to help u lot out well my fiance mite lol she works at argos and has said if u want a geezbo then she can get it for you at 10% off lol but it will have to fit into my car so i can bring it with me of course.

Thinking I might look at something like THIS

or alternatively something thats one of these quick pop up tents. Whatever it is it needs to be easy to signwrite etc so will have a browse around and try and pick up a fleabay bargain. Thanks for the offer though - will check out argos and see what their range is like.

im gonna bring along aload of mary quant stuff aslong as it doesnt get nick because some bits are worth alot of money so ill have to make sure there safe and noones gonna go pinching as i remember someones trophies being stolen once

Not sure how you can keep it safe really, other than putting it on display in the car and then keeping the car locked :S

Im going to be re-doing the designs for the marquee, so will post those when done.

lol yeh ill lock stuff in my car and maby get a display case i can lock up to aslong as people dont steal a whole display case haha

Guys, immaculate leather Designer steering wheel on eBay now.

Grab! Grab! Grab! (nothing to do with me, I already have one...just use a standard wheel for daily driving)

I'll look into pitch restrictions for IMM and come back when I've got some definitive info on it. I think it only fair we all chip in to the 'Get a Gazebo' kitty though

Incidentally, I've just sent the form off so get the monies in if you haven't already.... yes, I know I'm badgering but I want this to WORK for us!!

what i need to ask you though is im paying for my mini and jay and me but he wants to take hes own car
do i just say tough lol or does he have to pay seperate? if seperate then ill just pay the 110 for us to go in mine lol too much hassle otheerwise

Easier if you pay together and come in one car, Non-minis are allowed in with clubs though if he's adamant and we can have a club pitch too...IE all together in a black and white bunch

i was going to ask theminiforum to add mary q crew to their regional bit but i duno what bit we could add it to seeing as its nationwide lol and they dont have a naitionwide bit
so do i ask them to add a nationwide bit just for us ?
