I have sold the seats, seatbelts and clocks.
The shell is rotten but if anyone wants it they are welcome to it.

Hey guys, I have just read through the entire thread and you all sound like a great bunch! Beginning to wish I had got my MQ '88 a little sooner now!
We have owned the car now for .... 12 hours ..... and she is beautiful. Looking to do a full (albeit very gradual) show condition restoration with a few twists. She is creatively called... Mary.
We would love to join the group - not sure if we will make it L2B this year as we havent registered or anything and Mary hasnt even had a full check over yet but hopefully a few other events or meet ups we will be able to get too.
Just a thought but I might be able to help you guys out a bit....
I have a little toy called a VP-540, which among other things can print vinyl, stickers, banners, posters, canvas etc.
I would be more than happy to produce your stickers for you completely free of charge. (providing its only like 50 and not 50,000), the vinyl I have in stock is the same vinyl used for sign-writing cars and the machine prints in full colour and can then cut them out. If you have some artwork just send it through to me, along with a postal addy and I can send you some samples. That might help if the cost is prohibative, and may mean members can get their stickers free!
I also operate a reseller hosting account for about 50+ domain names, if you like I can give you an unlimited hosting account on my servers - again completely free of charge since its a good cause. (For the techies here - is that you gotta? - the DNS servers on the domain would need to be changed but thats about it)
Really looking forward to getting started on our little Mary. First thing is a good clean!
Peace, Love & Goldfish,
Sam & Kim (and Mary)
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the stickers would be the type that stick to the outside of the vehicle. Printed in a 5 year weather proof ink. But hey their free!

Hiya!!
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I'm in the middle of 'stage stuff' again, make-up for a local troupe putting a show on this entire week! This is the first sniff I've had at the forum since Saturday!

Congrats on adopting Mary! Please come over to the register and join the chaos we're planning to create! *Grins*
Anyhoo - yep, I'm the techie-ish one of the pack, with the exception of Astilla...
So, tell me mooore about this website hosting please? We're on PWS with my ISP and a forwarding addy from elsewhere to mask the 'real' address of the site at the moment. However, as with all PWS set-ups, it's quite restrictive in what I can/can't do with the space. So, I'd like to jump ship as is, to something I can get a little more creative with!
We have a lot of plans running in the background C/O Pretz (club memorabilia etc) and would ideally like to take some of that online at a later date, to make it available to all in the pack. This will include stickers. Sadly, we already have a batch coming in from the legend known as Roofless (one of the TMF'ers

Cheers for the info and hope to see you on the MQC forums!

Basically its a full hosting package I can set you up with, you would get a control panel etc where you can control all of the features of the hosting.
The easiest way to get set up would be to transfer your domain (which I could do through my servers control panel) it will probably need an authorisation code from your current domain name supplier - but once that was done a hosting account could be set up.
It takes a while for the DNS servers to recognise the change, but the hosting would be live usually within a few hours.
PM Me if you want to go ahead. Id take care of the cost of hosting and future domain renewals if you like.
You could also set up email addresses etc like [email protected] , and install scripts such as forums, blogs etc if you wish, all through the control panel.
Regards,
Sam

Couple more questions, if I may?
1) Is this hosting with or without ads? - Don't want distracting ads for random cr*p all over the site, taking up user's bandwidth.
2) Do you have support for Frontpage extensions?
3) T&C's?

No ads, its a full commercial hosting package. I hate ads! You could even install PhpBB onto the hosting and then you wouldnt have any ads on the MaryQ forums either.
It does support front page extensions. I have never used them though, but it says that it does! LOL
As for the T&C's , i dont really have any as all the hosting packages I have set up in the past have been for personal use or close friends. Obviously nothing illegal etc. standard ones i guess. Unlimited space and bandwidth.

Right.... that's good then.
Two more things that have just crossed my mind though...
1) What, if any, are your options for search engine submission? (We need to get noticed when someone looks for info on Designers

2) Do you have a running, online example of a site on your server that I could investigate?

There's an option in the Control Panel for search engine submission, however the best way to get it out there is to submit a sitemap using Google's own tools. This usually gets Google indexing nice and quickly, having a PHPbb powered forum helps as well as Google just loves going through those looking for 'data' for its collection.
My main site www.applecorecanvas.co.uk is hosted on my servers, as well as about 30 other ones.
There is a demo of the Control Panel available at https://hosting.hear...co.uk/index.cgi
Edit: The demo is actually a stripped down version looking at it, there are more tools etc available on the full ones.
Hope this helps.
