I've just got back after a 500+ mile, 9hr drive from the ring. I'm knackered.

It's been a very eventful week.

I managed to do 12 laps in the Mini which was more than I imagained I'd do. I also grabbed about 7 pax laps. It was fapping brill!

To answer a couple of quick questions:

Malc and I went off at Kallenhard on the first day there. Crocks went into the barriers dropping down into Einfahrt Briedscheid. I've got the aftermath on my camcorder but I haven't looked back at it yet. I'll send any footage or pics to Crocks and he can do with them as he wishes.

I need my bed. I'll post pics and clips later

Just found a site linked by ben lovejoys one. Basically you type in your reg number and they search a bank of professional snappers that are registered and they post their pics up for you to buy. Si, I know you'll like this one!

Briedscheid is before Ex Muhle, Ex Muhle is the right hander after the exit/entrance with the steep incline on it. Ex Muhle is the corner at the top and Briedscheid exit is half way up the pic.
The incline doesn't look that bad in this but it is...

morning all thanks for posting the picture simon i'll forward it to andy later has anyone heard how the poorly cars are getting on ie malc and di's mini and the stigs limo had a cracking week out there,only a couple of minor problems with the renault and a couple of brown pant moments on the ring, brave people who tackle the ring in a mini all i can say is thanks for not killing me Cat and nathan i think you managed to scare andy atb andy piccies to be posted later

[THE STIG]

hired this for the afternoon

140bhp swift stripped out to 998kg

lowered better brakes etc

did 7 laps with passengers

did a 9.27 on camera ,not bad for a car that had only driven for 20 minutes

200kph in two places thats aprox 125mph

thats crock's mini i say from there it doesnt look terrificly bad but hmm who knows
that carbon fibre front end seems to be very resilient!

have a look at www.8200rpm.com/webcam/ if you have an idea what time you started you should find your car at the start

yellow mini might be a write off - look at the A pillar, sill and door frame. at least no-one was hurt
