Been thinking about the firing order issue and if the coil a and b are the wrong way around then the order wont be 1342 hence why changing the leads arround from 1>1 2>2 etc helped

Put the vr back the way you had it
Swap Coil A & B around
Put leads on 1>1 2>2 etc

Try it

Right ok.

When I had it started and running on 2 cylinders the coil pack was to the plugs at 1342 and with MJ connected. So now I'm going to unplug the MJ, and run it in limp mode with 11,22,33,44 and see what happens.

12v, position 1 on the key I get 12v everywhere but when I'm cranking over, the power cuts to the stereo, fuel pump etc ( think!, well it was earlier) so that would cause the EDIS to have no power when cranking, correct? however, I do have spark when I'm cranking :s

EDIT: no I'm getting 12v all the time, even when cranking.

It could well be that with all the messing around you have flattened your battery. I would check that first

I got another starter earlier, switched over the wires, turned the key and it fired up instantly! ;D

So glad it runs! It sounds amazing and the revs pick up so quick!

The rocker cover has some clearance issues though, I'm using the purple 1.5s and a tin cover and they whack the back of the cover causing lots of noise! So I'm going to have to get possibly one of those big square ones.

Thank you for all your help, I couldn't have done it without you!!

you could use a MG metro rocker cover for your rockers..... may be a cheaper option..
