What width are your new wheels? They look pretty chunky!

Ben

I measured them with 5.75" - but ET3 (or -3? I'm not that good at maths :D ). So they stick out quite a lot...

Cheers,
Jan

Yes, 165 tyres. :D Will put them on as soon as I sorted a second set of tyres. And then I'm still undecied if I'm going to run them with or without tubes... If tubes I'm going to try the new (re-made) Dunlop SP Sport. Love the thread pattern!

Next switch panel. But hat's in too good shape to drill & fit the quad light to it... >_<

Too sad there's no way I could use centre ignition legaly... :)

Indeed! Everything funny is VERRBOTEN :)

You wouldn't want to know what an effort (& expense) it was to make the 1275 road legal... :)

Why is it illegal to centralise the ignition?

& are those switches standard switches? I've got a bare MK2 switch panel, aside from the heater & choke cables.. thinking about moving my ignition to the centre, I don't want some fancy new switches though!

Well - if you keep the steering lock it's off course OK. But if I install a centre ignition switch I want to get rid of the steering lock... How silly would it be to start the car with two keys? :w00t: Hmmmm... On the other hand... (Er - no!). We'll see what I do with it. If nothing at all it's still nice to look at.

The switches are the Mk1 type. LUCAS three position light switch (dim, flicker, off :w00t: ) and LUCAS on/off switch for - single speed wipers I guess. They are comparably cheap and still being made :w00t:

That solid *CLACK* those switches make is worth it alone! I'm loving it!

I'm just glad i dont live in germany

But then it takes me only 2h and I'm on the Ring  Or some optimistic 3h and I'm in the Alps snowboarding

Cheers,
Jan

Jan, just thinking about your want to use the center igniton barrel but you need to keep the steering lock...

Now it might be a fair bit of work but how about making an electronic circuit with a servo on the end that would disengage the steering lock when you turned the key to the accessory point much as it would normally work?

Where there is a will, there is a way!

That might be possible... But I'm not that desperate for centre ignition :)

Video time... >_<

N°1:

N°2:

I recorded this one to see if the engine smokes under acceleration. Saw a cloud of smoke last night in the headlights of a following car as I pulled off. But looks like it's only black smoke - I guess the piston shoots up and gives the engine a shot of fuel (like a accelerator pump). Or it's runing a bit rich on full throttle.
