Hi all.
just wanting some advise on group 2 wide arches. will they cover 13x7 deep dish?
ive been using this site to browse through arch types and it states group 2 wide arches will cover 6-7" wheels. however recently purchased a few bits and bobs from P&L Minis and was browsing and found these group 2 wides which state for use with 5.5-6" wheels. but then it also says the arch sticks out 4" which i thought would be enough to cover mine.
this has left me very confused as i was going to get group 2 wides to replace my tatty sportspacks and i have half bought some to be picked up in tuesday.
ive done a search but couldnt find anything with relevance to both the arches and 13x7's. also cant use TMF's arch dedicated thread because the pics dont work.

i could be wrong but to my knowledge group 2 wont be wide enough, you'll need group 5 euro or group 7 for 7x13 i think but i've got my flame suite on ready to be shot down and corrected lol

the only way to be sure is buy the wheels you want and fit them
then measure how wide the arch needs to be
groups of arch are different from manufacturers and wheels come in different off sets

Hey,
I've got 13 x 7 and group 2 wide arches, the arches are from Huddersfield spares and are the kind that wrap under at the back. I believe that group 2 wide also go by the name of group 5 arches. As far as wheels sticking out go mine stick out ever so slightly but it still passed the MOT, i truely belive that it's how some of these testers feel on the day.
pictures of mine:
Advice, go for some 12 x 6 deep dish with group 2 wides, the 13's do nothing for performance or handling, if i'd thought more about it and listened to the advice i'd have gone for them. The car with the group 2 wide arches on that site you've posted belongs to someone on here i think and has 12 x 6's, you could ask for some more pictures. There is also a red cooper with downton wide arches (bungle) and there's a few pictures of it on another wheels thread, link below, if i'd seen that before i got my wheels i'd would have gone for 12's!

I removed my sportspack arches and fitted group 2 wide arches to my car with 13x7 wheels and the wheels stuck out about an inch past the arch. so i swapped my wheels for 12x6 and they fit perfectly.

thanks for the help. the car came with 13x7's so wasnt my choice as such. at the moment they seem to stick out quite a bit anyway with the sportspacks but then i guess they were made for 6" wheels. and its passed its MOT and various chats from policey men. i probably wont be fitting the arches for a while, its just because i know they need doing. i expect ill fit them when it undergoes a big restoration, so ill probably buy 12x6 deep dish then. im deciding more and more that 13" wheels are just a little too out of proportion for most mini's and i dont like it that mine looks like its sitting fairly high when its actually been lowered.
