unless i missed it no one has mentioned the correct manufacturer yet, its also not a bike head either. the head is shorter than the a series one, but it is equally as wide, however the head will be mounted slighly to the front of the block so it will over hang the front, and leave a gap at the back, exposing the redundant push rod holes, which i will plug.

here is a pic of how the valve gear works, clever, and a nice colour too!

If it not a bike then looking at this photo Renault "eco thing" comes to mind but the cambers are simlar to a mini on the Renault and this one is not.

here is the engine with the block, after talking a fwe things through with my brother im going to look into having bigger vales fitted to the inlets, there is only room in the block for one inlet in each chamber to be made bigger so it will then have 3 different size valves per chamber, which im sure is another first?

after offering the head up to the block there is very little overhang, the exhaust ports stick out and cover the back of the block and the overhang at the front is less than 5mm, you can see the frontal overhang in the shot below. the front of the head is at the bottom of the pic if you follow me?

90's Micra head.

Already said, read the thread.

I'm saying Subaru or a Mitsu.

Will be interesting to follow this, I've been mildly interested in seeing a complete Alu Mini engine made, and I suppose with an Alu head, the only thing left would be the block! lol Not fussed if you don't want say what the head is from, doesn't sound like anyone will be readily able to get their hands on one anyway, but there does seem to be a certain amount of pub points up for grabs to the first to come up with the correct answer!

I was aware that someone had already stated it, but pre-facelift model?

Well he's said no one has even stated the right manufacturer yet, so I guess that discounted Nissan?
