aah that is strange  must be crammed on the cam then

the cam only has 8 lobes, not 12. so its quite spacious in the head. the cam pushes rocker arms, which there are also only 8 of.

i did look under the bonnet of a kia pride actually, but the head on them is very long, plugs very far apart, and therefore so are the bores.

if this one doesnt work i have a few other possible cars to look at as potential head donors

its your fault, lol, no-one can comment until we actually know what car we are dealing with..!!
all i can think of now in rare 12 valve is..... honda acty

i dont know what that one is?

anyway, the point is, its an exercise in engineering and experimentation, if/when i get it all working i will reveal all then but until then i want to keep it to myself. all i want to do is prove to myself that this can be done, im only expecting about 10-15bhp gain, and just to have something unique. i have even been looking at making my own cam cover either fabricating it myself, or having one cast to my mould at a local foundry that specialises in small production and one offs so that people wont recognise the head. not that i can imagine anyone doing that as its not an engine very many peolpe will have seen, let alone recognise...

Yes, and the Guiness world record for the number of badges a manufacturer could fit on a bootlid...

Proton 1.3 GLS Triple Valve MPI Catalyst SE Aerodeck 5 speed is the best i've seen so far :teehee:

Hit "Reply", then "Browse" (Bottom right), find the file and open. Then Upload (next to browse). Then "Manage Current Attachments" and hit the green +. I think the other way is if you have a bucket of photos or something?

this is the head with the 998 head gasket laid over it so you can see how it lines up...
3 of the bolts line up across the front of the head, the tow between them i am hoping to fit a larger diameter steel plug into the block, and re-drill and tap that in the new position. the rear bolts line up with the water galeries in the block, so im hoping to do the same there asuming the water galeries are deep enough to aloow this, other wise its plan b which will be much more time consuming.
