Anthracite wheels rock. :)

yeah, they do look a bit tasty!

Am I going to need to do much work putting them on, or will it be a straight swap?

You'll probably need to trim the wings abit to clear them on full lock (have a look in my thread in the bodywork section and you'll see) and you'll need arches to cover them.

Dude, just spent 20 minutes reading your thread, haha, what happened with the respray? dont get me wrong, it looks good, but thought you where going to stick with the orange and the black rally stripe? I thought it looked great!

I'm just going 6x12s, so its not a diameter upgrade, just width. Reckon I might be ok, but will just have to see when I get them I suppose. As you know all to well, nothing can ever be 'that simple' on a mini! :)

I went from 12" to 13", best thing i ever done. I didnt have to do anything to the steering rack, just trim the arches back.
Go for 13" if you like getting some G force on roundabouts!

Surely size isn't as important as girth :D ..I mean width...when it comes to handling!?

13s get a lot of bad press, but mainly owing to people fitting them and doing nothing else to the suspension. Also most people fit 7" ones which do need care setting up the suspension to get them to work well.

if you want 13s then best to buy 6" ones rather than 7s. if you get the right profile tyres these will be almost identical in rolling radius to the 12" wheels. /Therefore they'll handle the same and look great too.

The beauty of 13" wheels is the greater choice of rubber.

I have never driven a mini With anything else other than 13's. I do find the sterring heavy and it does tramline - but Hey compared to my everyday car, my mini is a dinasour.

But I love my mini - wide and phat!!!!!
