How many links does the pro motive chain have? it seems to be stretching very quickly, or does it stretch initially and settle down?
Cheers
David
in my more recent experience ( since using an oiler ) initial stretch and then settle down.

i dont think the manufacturing quality of the chains are brilliant, you get good ones and bad one, the main thing if you only have two 17 tooth sprockets so the chains do alot more work than a chain going over a 17 tooth and 40 tooth or whatever you find on a bike or zcar.

Hmmm i am looking into a different type of chain with a friend of myn! the cross section ones not just O ringed! (am i right or wrong?)

first chain didnt last too long at all.
2nd chain appeared to stretch but is was other issues -I kept it and it may be OK
3rd chain lost a roller and made nasty noises
4th chain seems pretty good. started of with no shims - now got 3 shims in and its settled down -but then, so have I.

Remember you need to spray lube on the chain then leave it for quite a while, it gets into the chain then dries into a waxey substance, if you just spray it and drive itll all come off.
NITE ALL! get those pictures up *******
