Does anyone know the torque settings for the 2 bolts that join the 2 halves of a 1275GT brake caliper together? Haynes doesn't have them...

I'd go for 40 ft/lb as they're the same size as the retaining bolts aren't they?

Yeah I think so, just wasn't sure because I don't want brake fluid leaking onto my nicely painted calipers! :(

Errm, there's no really specific torque as you're never meant to take them apart.

Although, might be worth dropping AP brakes a line, they still make the calliper. Ask them what they use.

Good idea, I'll give them a shout. The caliper kit I bought has the o-ring that mates the 2 parts so thought I may as well do it while I'm replacing the other seals
