So here it is, and i just need to drill a couple of holes for all the rivets,
and for the other bits to pass through (like the gearchange cables etc),
once that is done im going to go around all the edges with some sealant so it should stop all water etc getting through
You can also see where i have removed the rest of the rear pockets.
I will probably be mounting the relay board and ecu onto the inside of the rear quarter, which should mean i can cover it up easily.

used 1 pack of 100 rivets and still need a couple more but i think i should have enough with my other 900
Just need to drill the holes for the handbrake cables and the gear change cables, and move the ecu etc back to this side so its dry.
Tomorrow i plan to give the floor a lick of paint, and then start on my seat brackets, and start looking at the top part of the bulkhead,
but its looking on track to having it done for the weekend,
as long as nothing happens and i keep at it, but i guess we'll have to see if it is done for MITP
Also got the rest of the carpet to put in but we will see (its not the right shape)

but that is low enough to get to from underneath (although i think i can get it from above).
There is a fair gap between the engine and the bulkhead so it ok. (i might get a pic of that tomorrow)
Once i work my way to the back section i should even have a boot
Is yours finished and sealed now?
Did you notice much change in running temp? (just hope my arm will be less toasted on a normal trip )

i have found opening windows doesn't help, just seems to circulate the hot air and fumes round to the front

Had the odd problem on the way back from MITP, firstly the rear tires on my 13s are at least in the wet anyway.
So that ment i almost lost it going around a round about luckily the fronts still had good grip (thank you Yoko) and i managed to correct the slides.
After that i was a bit causious about all the water sat on the roads. But then that lead to another problem i had!! The water got onto the alternator belt and caused the water pump to slip, resulting in the engine over heating. Luckily i had enough tools to be able to tighten it up and it was ok after that.
The other thing that happened was all my windows steamed up soo much that i couldnt see a thing so had to pull over to be able to wipe them, (couldnt reach with the harnesses on ),
so ive got to finish covering the engine to stop the water spray hitting the windscreen,
and possibly make a new alternator mount that is easier to adjust and holds its position better.
