Yeah, i think about doing it before i start then i normally get the camera ready.
But today didnt go to well to plan, I was going to test me rev counter,
couldn't do that last night it was really late by the time i got the dash connected up.
So today i came to start the engine and it didnt want to run, but i had it running a few days ago and it was fine!!!
Im hoping its just a lose connection somewhere, ecu is fine working on the stim.

I got a template made for the last bit of the dash i need to make but after trying to get the engine going and going into town to get some things it was just too late to be using power tools. So i didnt really get much done, but im should be able to get straight onto it tomorrow.

you got no qualifications in what your doing? Have you just self taught yourself?

Your post is too inspiring and your giving me the "mod my mini myself" bug lol im really good on the Rover turbo side and i know them really well to put engines in and tuning them. But MINIs are a whole new ball game to me so im having to learn all over again lol

Im new on here so ive just had to read this post from start to finish lol and its a really ace read. Now im on top of it, its like a soap opera or a film with a sequel - i just got to know what happens next lol

yes ive taught myself from the beginning, and no i dont have any qualifications in this kind of thing (i just enjoy it).
I think i need to test it to know if all the work has paid off.

Today was alot better than yesterday!!!
Got the dash board finally made, currently the glue is drying, so tomorrow I can cover it then it can be installed and thats it done.
I took a pic of it installed and ill get another of it when its covered,
dont know if i should post the one now or wait for the finished one tomorrow?

Also i got the engine going again, i think it was a cross between a loose connection and the fueling being too lean at idle, just by increasing the start up enrichments it would idle, but any throttle and it dies,
but im not worried about that as it still needs tuning.

One thing thats good about what your doing is your showing progression with your work. So maybe its cool and follows what youhave done already to post a pic up before and after your dash?

Its upto you - or you could suprise everyone with a finished project? What ever suits you
