Thanks,

As i thought with the air lock it was because the Thermostat was buggered (wasnt opening),
so ive got to go get a new one.
Then hopefully it should all be working. and i may even try a quick drive up and down the road.

Mangaged to sort the air lock, apart from needing a new thermostat (88 degrees C one!!! that seems hot to me???),
and a bit of pipe to feed the highest part of the engine coolant pipes back to the header tank at the front.

Also I managed to fix the broken fan that came with my radiator so now ive just got to run 2 wires to the dash. Gonna have it on the thermo switch and a manual switch.

I think tomorrow, once the fan is hooked up, if its nice enough i might go for a test drive!! :o

Then i think ill get on with preping the boot lid (needs a small amount of filler) for paint and drilling the holes for the light and number plate.

Once that is done ill start mounting the dials in the dash, and maybe even start wiring that :o .

lol
what should i take pics of?
Could get one of my temp dash when its in, but its only a flat board of MDF.
Will get a video when it goes for a little drive.

Suppose i could get pic of it with standard 12" wheels on :o
and If you really want i can post a log from the engine running.
But i dont think many will make much sense of it or be bother to look at it.
Heres a small bit of it though :o

Lazy day today, didnt run the engine at all,
I did get the dials mounted and ran the wires from the engine to the dash (through the roof) for the dash lights etc.

Tonight im going to sort and a label the wires on the dials, then tomorrow i can connect most of it up, and get the dash inplace.

Might even give the whole car a wipe down to get the dust off it (its really dusty!!!!) just to make it look better, and make me feel better. :o

I think i may have decided on Grp 5 arches but its hard to find any pics of them fitted from the side view (I want to see how tight they follow the shape of the wheels).

Its starting to get cold in the garage!! :'(

Got the dash wiring finished, it all seems to be working so far,
need to test the fan and its switch/relay
Thinking of making my own hazard and indicator flasher units my indicator ones just seem to blow really quickly (yes i know possible problem somewhere else, but the hazard one seems to do fine)

Got to make a board to fill the top of the dash then i can pull it all off again to finish a little bit, then a bit of gluing followed by covering it all in black vinyl.

Still got to finish preping the bootlid then paint it :P
but apart from that i cant see much else to be done. (i see to say that alot, but i think it is actually true in this case!! :genius: )
