Not done a huge amount as i had a few days off,

At the Kitcar show on Saturday i met the guy who runs Funbuggies and had a long chat about the cars and the bits from them that i can use,
also looked around at all the different cars at the show (including some minis!!)

Then saturday evening we went to the TMF Lincoln mini meet, (all 5 of us)

and today we went up to the mini show at Normanby Hall which is still in its infant stage, lots of minis, but little autojumble, and no big store stalls.
But it was still nice to see all the minis.

So when we got back i went into the garage and as it was too late to do anything noisey i decided to stick the engine in the frame.

looking good, seems quite a big frame out of the car, does it go in and out easily??

the chap from fun buggies is quite chatty, you didn't happen to ask if they have used disks on the back of any of there conversions. i was thinking about asking them myself at some point.

Yeah its not too bad, and i struggled to get it out as i had left some big bits in the way so ill remove those before it goes in again.

Darn it, nope forgot about that,
I had emailed him a few times over the past few weeks and didnt get a reply,
but when i spoke to him he said he was having problems getting his email, and he had just come back from driving all the way to poland in the car that they had on show, with Minifinity. So he said just to ring to chat about the various bits.

Do you know they part number for the handbrake cable?
he said it was for the panda, but theres a few on ebay.

LOL, yeah did seem abit sad to chop it, and sometimes i do wish that i had just stuck it in the front, but i guess when its all in and working ill be happy with RWD
Also it means turboing it will be easier as there is more room.
Every round about i see i always imagine going sideways around it,
is that weird?

Yeah its still there, but will be moved to the engine when i get around to getting it running.
I have it running off a Ford EDIS controller which in turn is controlled by MegaSquirt, originally i was using the Extra code just for the ignition which worked fine, and then i got MS2 to be able to control the SPI injection stuff but have removed most of the engine before i got around to playing with it.

the frame now has coilovers on!! :D
so its sitting on the rear wheels with only support at the front of the frame to stop it falling over.
Got 1 or 2 bits left on the frame, and may think about adding some tabs to fasten cables and pipes to, then its really clean up and paint ^_^

Frame has now been painted with that same paint i had left over from the car,
this is only a temp thing for testing purposes, so if the frame needs anymore work i havent paid alot to have it powder coated.
Have got one or 2 more things that i may add, but that will be in the future!

Will get a pic later as mum took the camera on hols.

<insert pic here>

If so, you better read up because they look for the smallest of faults to fail it

Looking very tastey

SVA test????

thats what i was thinking of :w00t:

with my crashed corsa i had to have a full VIC check which is basically checking it was repaired to a good standard and that all the identity plates were there and all lined up, id imagine this project to require at least this test?
