richieg. Well as for the drivability with the weber it is good. On long drives i wear ear defenders so it's not too bad. I built it to drive the poo out of it lol.

lewis. Well i gave up counting after 4000, it is all payed for tho, but i had to pimp my wife out, give up drinking and we have been living on beans on toast for the last 4 years. No seriously i have not worked it out yet but it has got an agreed value of 00.000 so i hope this covers it lol.

george91.That is what i was going for from the start, old looks with a fast modern feel.

Thanks to every one who has said they like the car. I have been playing with it today so it's good for brooklands this weekend coming.

It is nice to see this kind of detail put into a competition inspired build.

What are your intentions for use - is it going to be a show car, rally, race, road use?

In New Zealand we have a couple of options to help with racing a nice tidy car:

1. Classic Racing - still all in racing, and potential for damage, but most people are older/more mature and have plenty of money invested in their cars, so tend to be a little more careful and not so serious
2. Dual Car Sprints- where they put two cars out together of similar times, and only have around 6 - 8 cars spaced out around the track at the same time, so you are more racing one person, and the clock.

Both of these options are better than 'track days' where anyone goes out in whatever they like and you have a mixture of cars, skills and care. I am sure there must be some similar series in the UK that you could get involved in?

Just to let everyone know, Well i got up yesterday but had slept in and was late for the show, but as its just 20min away from me it wasn't too much of a drama. Well i drove the life out of the car all the way there and when i got there i snapped the accelerator cable whilst reversing to park up, what luck. As it was early in the show Minispeed hadn't quite set up properly, so they were going to and from the shop with stuff and I managed to get one sent up.

I left the car as it was, all dirty and full of crap and went to see what was about, then i came back with my new cable. As I was fitting it later in the day the Miniworld bloke came over and said to me that my car has won mini world car of the show. So yesterday was one of them lucky days

Splendid, Well done buddy. Your cars been my background since the photoshoot pictures you put up. Im really looking forward to seeing it in the flesh sometime. Shame i could'nt make Brooklands, but i really wasn't very well and there was a bit of a communication failure on my part between our club
