What final drive ratio are you running and how do you find your quaife atb? I've bought one for mine but not fitted it yet. Did it improve your quarter mile times?
Also wanted to know about your beam axle and protech coil overs. Some people say it messes up the handling. I like the amount of weight you can lose fitting that setup, but Just wondered if you would rate them from a handling point of view?
Cheers and keep up the good work!

What a weekend!
Saturday I set off to pod land and got there for 9 ish to meet Chris D. I got 3 runs in as the staff was on slow time, and looked like they could not give a f### The mk1s best time of the day was a 14.3 it seems like I have forgot how to drive it as it's been over two years! The day was over when it spat out a drive shaft so it was turbo drinking time!
These are not my pics found them on the other forum.
It starts.
Then I had a go at cooking on of there
But I ended up doing this as they would not move
Job done!
Then I found this :-( the heat must of opened a crack.
Well I had a little more play time in the cave today
You can see the shaft that was in the mk1 it looks like it worked it's self out and just twisted at the end
Next on the list was to play with my reserve cover I have, I used no heat this time just brut force and they popped out fine I had to turn a bung down to weld to for one of them.
Then this little bad boy turned up !
So I put it straight to work! It cuts through alloy easy! Just got to wait for some fine belts in the post :-/
Then I set to on an oil pump, you can see on the edges where of the cover where the low spots are, I found this the last time and the cover cracked there, so I sat and sanded the cover down all flat
All got to go drilled for a 4 bolt fixing and all bolts swaped to Ti
I started testing out my new lathe going last week and I am happy with the results
Some bits I have been working on. :-D
Well what a DAY!
I was blessed with a weekend off at the last min! So what better way to spend it with my wife ! At pod on Sunday.
So working off the info I had gained from MITP, I played with the car on Saturday and sorted some bits out. So a quick test drive and all was good, it was making very good power! So I loaded it up.
Sunday we set off to pod and when we got there it looked like it was going to rain :-/ so I went and paid up.
First run - felt like it went really well and all was good, boom a new PB 13.67 at 104mph
Second run - felt even better ! Learning how to work it again WoW a better PB 13.29 at 112mph!
Third run- OMG this was the ONE, all was as it should be! **** The Bed Ned, An even better PB 13.18 at 110mph
Then I got pulled in " you need a helmet before you run again" said the fat oily fireman "dam it's at home in the loft" I say !
Not to be beaten! off we go to find a skid lid, none to be found then I seen some in a shack where the kid racers work out of, "So you don't ask you don't get" the old boy say if it fits you can lend it so like Sanka from Cool Runnings I was back in the fight :-D
But as I have been learning to drive it from the noise, this helmet was pissing on my chips :-/ it just was not flowing and the 4th was a 13.53 5th 13.69 6th 13.75
Then as I finished my last run it started raining what a Mega day!
