I've just been admiring your engine bay, ( you posted a link in another thread) and I have to say you attention to detail is impeccable and I was just saying to my self I would love to see this some day then I noticed you live in Woking and I'm in Guildford, so you never no we might bump into each other

Thanks lads, it's more like OCD lol.

Yes I am on the Guildford side of Woking lol.

A little update from today's work.

Today I made these.

Then I drilled this.

Then I ended up getting jiggy.

New manifold on the way?

Also if those manifold flanges are going spare (the ones on the bench) give me a text, I'll happily buy them

Thanks spaceibiza !

That's the gear linkage done :-) with a nice little weight saving by swapping the rods to alloy.

Than I made these lighter, starting to get the hang of this lathe.

Some more light weight bits.

That's it for a bit now as works getting in the way.

I have been away on a little trip away with work so there has been no work done on the mk1.

I got in the cave this afternoon, and got some more bits done :-)

Some more speed holes!

Then I started on this little lot.

Excellent work, I love the little things like the lightened wiper motor internals! Loom wise, this may be a bit extreme for your car, but the current WRC cars use only non-colored white wiring in the looms to save weight over coloured looms - seems incredible but they do do it!
