Right then I have a got all the little jobs that I have been putting off done today like-

1. fit the washer bottle,
2. fit the washer jets,
3. Make sure all the lights work
4. Refit the dash
5. Get the manifold gasket sorted
6. Got the handbrake sorted and working for the first time in a long time.
7. Give it a bit of a clean

Jobs left to do now is-
1. Get MOT
2. Get the RR setup booked
3. Sort the tax
4. Get the v5 sorted
5. Sort the insurance and the agreed value

So not much to do now.

Now that's an engine, sounds great with those S/C drops and seems to go well. Bet you can't wait to get it run in a give it a rip down the road full power!

Some s~~t vids of the car on the RR today, it was just for set up not a power run.











O yes It did not pass the MOT as the-
1. headlamps was to high
2. front suspension had inadequate clearance between the bump stops
3. Windscreen wiper not working to good.

but i have 10days to sort it.

Looks like Minispeed to me. i had mine done there about 2 weeks ago (Morspeed 1293 with t2 turbo). The bloke had never done a megajolt before but he picked it up quick as he had done megasquirt. Got 92 BHP out of it, which was a bit lower than expected but its running very low boost so we will se what happens when it gets turned up.

What sort of power are hoping to end up with?

Also are you running without an oil cooler, if so what sort of temp is it running at? because i dont know whether mine needs a cooler or not

Yes its Minispeed i have been going there for years now, Ian has worked on MJ before as he has been working on my car for a bit now.

as for a cooler i am not running one at all.

Dare i say it i am hoping to get into the 200bhp club

Well a bit of a big back date now.
Work on the MK1 has been not stopped in preparation of the mammoth trip tomorrow to the ring.
On Sunday I had a nice drive up to oxford On the drive up and on the way back the oil temp went over 120c so i called in at Think auto and got an oil cooler and bits and fitted that.


So with the new cooler fitted to the car i went out to warm it up on my test track next to my house.
This is NOT me this is the road i did 3 laps!

The cooler keep the temp down to 100c But when i got back there was a bad smell and this is what i found on the back brake.


So I have a new set of Ferodo pads fitted now. Also i had to replace the Speedo cable as that had snapped as well
Oh and a pic with my new bonnet fitted with a bit of a lift
