hiya guys, after creating my fully lined boot interior i decided to create a dashboard, but one that hasnt been done before (in thoery), for my custom dashboard i created a lined dash that supports two 10cm Sony XS-F1035's. So heres how to do it.

Firstly you will need the following tools:
• Copan Saw
• Jig Saw
• Pencil
• Ruler
• Compass
• Hand Saw
• Electric Hand Drill

The materials you will need are:
• 6mm MDF
• Cardboard for template
• Carpet or lining of your choice

Ok firstly you will need to create a template via cardboard, i have attached 2 different templates below:

Once you have got the outline of the dashboard cut out using cardboard you can now start to design the layout of your own custom dash, for my dash i put the two 10cm speakers over the right hand side of the dash as this was the highest point in the dashboard. For the left hand side i then created a small but useful storage section that holds exactly my ipod for the sound system that is installed.
I fitted my dash by creating a big enough hole for the vent to fit through that the screw cover for the vent secured that end, for the right hand side i created a side panel that is lined, i then fitted a standard bracket to the side panel to the front of the dashboard. this along with the storage hole on the left hand side secured the whole dashboard in fully.
Below are the pictures of my dashboard.

My Mustang had 2 speakers in the centre, and they were the only speakers. You only got the sound in one ear, which made it sound terrible. Ideally you will need some other speakers elsewhere.

Thanks for the information mate but as this is only the guide to the front dash doesnt mean that these r the only speakers in the car, i got 300w speakers in the rear with the 140w in the front

Hey Russell,
Just wondering cause I drive a mini Thirty too, did you move the original box on the dash for the head unit underneath?
