I'd want 7 or 8k for it I reckon - its pretty damn mint. And tax exempt. The IVA is this new test thing they're on about bringing in - I don't know the full ins and outs of it, or if its even going to happen. Whatever happens, I just dont use mine enough for it to be worth keeping - I'd rather someone enjoyed it.

It will be tight! - But I wouldn't be me if I didn't over-complicate things!

Hurry? No can do, I'm afraid! The body needs alot of work, too - Despite it's looks! But, first things first is learning to weld... then I can say that it's done properly this time and I'd only have myself to blame if not! By my reckoning, it needs a floor, both sills, heelboard (whether that's corner repairs or a full panel, I'm not sure yet. The central section is spotless. But the corners definitely need doing as they were the main problem on the car - which is why the rear subby didn't fit. Think it should also have 2 new rear arches. The inner wings could do with some tidying up, but I'll leave that for now ... it depends on where the engine ends up sitting as to how much we chop!! The front end is spotless though, brand new panels, so we'll probably carefully remove those and strengthen the whole front, if we go the flip-front route.

I'm gutted about the paint. Despite the ham-fisted work of the "panel beater", the paint finish is spot on. We'll try to save it where possible, I think, but it's not going to be that easy. There was filler in the rear 1/4 panel, which has cracked. (That was the bit that tipped me over the edge & the point that we decided to stop.)


Tom ... keep the van! It's gorgeous and you put years of work into it!
