Just make sure that the long pin in the arm moves freely :D

The other arm that we've started to strip is pretty solid - The pin isn't moving at all, so it looks like that arm's pretty shot, unfortunately! :shy:

Thanks for the information about how you cleaned up the radius arm, will come in useful when I start painting up some of my bits :shy:

minitastic stuff is gooood! Cant wait to see what the blue one feels like with them. Quickest way I have found to clean radius arms up is to remove them from the car, take them to your motor factors and get a pair of recon ones. It only cost me £14 per side more than the rebuild kit is, and they come totally de-greased and de-rusted in nice black paint, and the added bonus of the internals all being brand new. :shy:
Failing that, scrape most of the crud off and havea bash at them with a wire wheel in a grinder, takes minutes to strip them back to bare cast iron.

I would have put my wire wheel and grinder to it, but my grinder got too hot when I was chopping the front off my '25 and set fire to itself :D :shy:

YAY! Someone noticed, lol :ghost:

Picking up the MiniTastic Kit tomorrow!!! ^_^

I got the Fast Road version, with the height adjusters!! :ghost:

just a quick note to anyone thinking of getting a old van for work

using a classic as a works vehicle does change the taxation classic from historical to PLG where you have to pay for the road tax

it's something i didn't know but after a topic on volkszone about someone getting fined i thought i would post it on here

Bungle, haven't got a link to the topic, have you?

Took a quick trip to see Yosuke Yamamoto this morning ... The legend that is 'Minitastic'! ;)

He took us out for a drive in his demonstrator car with the fast-road setup on it! It was truly amazing! He let me drive it, too! :)

Honestly, the difference is unbelievable! The ride was still very 'Mini' - But just didn't crash into every single bump! It was incredible! (The Mini was an automatic 1275 Japanese import, too .... Leather interior, air conditioning... :mrcool:)

So, we came away with the 'Fast Road' kit!

Here it is!

I think a phone-call will have to be done before I register it back on the road again.. I don't want to be fined, but at the same time, I don't want to lose the historic status!

I'm actually gutted!

Thanks for the info though, Bungle - Would be great if you could find the link! :)

Unbelievably so, yes!

I went there with the impression that they were going to make a difference, but didn't think they'd be THAT good!

Honestly? Smoother than the X-Reg Golf we turned up in!! :)
