He He - I remember doing all those fiddly clips on the back doors of my Clubby Estate! Are you fitting a new fuel tank? When I did mine I found the rear lip was at a funny angle and it wouldn't sit right on the rear valence, so I had to bend it down a bit - a complete pain when I had already painted it! Also make sure you put it in before the rear subframe - SOOOO much easier!

Ah, right! Thank you Jayare! The fuel tank isn't a brand new one, but I'm not sure how old it is! It's one that Kris had already, so it's something that I'll definitely keep an eye on! Thank you for the heads-up!

Still waiting for the shot blaster to phone about the parts ... :proud:

Only real update is that I've bought a loom for him, so we can start modifying the wiring relatively soon. We had planned to go down and re-stonechip the underside of the van and also give him a good blast of waxoyl ... but something came up on the weekend so we didn't make it down, unfortunately!

The engine is being built as we speak, but not by myself - By 'England_Expects' (Member on here! :proud:) - someone much more talented than me, lol :genius:

We're aiming for the engine to be fitted by mid-april, really. 'EE' is bringing the engine down when it's ready and helping us to lift frankie over the top! :genius: Once the engine's in, I think I'll feel a little happier about the progress, really! Collecting parts is fun, but not being able to put them on is a bit of a git, lol. :(

EDIT: I can't put the dash in place or the steering column, because I don't know where they're going to sit as I need an mpi steering rack, too. Once the front subby etc is in place, I can try to line everything up inside - And then mount the seats at the correct height. One of my pet hates is having to duck every time to see the dash on some minis, so I want to try to align things so that I can see them from a normal seating position, lol :o

You don't need an MPI rack Jean, they're exactly the same. The only difference is the sportpacks had limiters to stop the wheels rubbing. You'll be fine.

I thought because I've got an Mpi column, I need the rack, too? If not - That's excellent news! Thanks Tom! :)

*grumbles*

Couldn't get hold of the shotblaster. So I went 'round - and he wasn't in. So ... No parts! :)

Will see if I can get hold of him tomorrow.

Almost everything ... =]

Picked up the parts of the front suspension, which are all nicely powdercoated!!

Also picked up my wheels. The rim of them looks fantastic! It's so well polished, it looks amazing! Unfortunately though, their machine couldn't get in to skim the inner parts of the wheel face ... so I'm going to have to do that by hand!! But to match the polish on the outside, it's going to take me ages!! :(

Ah well!! ;D

Pictures to come innabit ... (When I can brave the fog and the cold, lol :dontgetit:)

Plans for today was to strip down some radius arms, clean them up and paint them! We'll see if I manage this ... it's all foggy - They'll never dry!!
