I've just read through your whole project and I absolutely love your van. I'm glad you've decided to go for some 10's. The Dunlops will suit the van perfectly.
In terms of engine, a sweetly tuned 998 will be great to drive. An injection mini is nice but there is a whole load of gubbins and extra complication that goes with them. I'd stick to something simple, then you can have your van on the road sooner so that it can start earning you some £'s and you can start enjoying it!
Keep up the pace... I'm wanting to see it finished just as much as everyone else!

I've just bought some cosmic 10" alloys, too - I can't decide which to put on it! Once I get my hands on the cosmics, I'll take both sets to the van and see which look right!
Can't wait to get back working on the van, but we've been so busy with work and other things, that the van's been sat for a while!!
Now that I'm not driving Reggie everyday, too - I miss driving a Mini!
(But the Golf's very nice! )

Am having more thoughts about the engine, to be honest - I do agree with edi ...
I want the van on the road sooner rather than later, so it might make sense to just drop a carb one in there for now??
Gah! Circles!

Frankie is GOING to have a 1275 CARB engine in him. Whether that's just temporary or not, I'm yet to decide! But this will enable me to actually get the car off the trailer and back on earth! So, the 1275 is having the head skimmed, a complete check over and gaskets all-round.
We want to have the subframes built up and plonk the engine in the subframe and put the body straight over the top! (Which is why he's not moved off the trailer! )
I still can't decide whether to put cosmics on or dunlops!

Dunlops.... and a nice factory fitted (looking) sat-nav in a leather bound Autoplas dash courtesy of Retro-retrims... if you ask him nicely...

It'd have to say Morris! How cool would that be?
