That's what I thought!

Grille arrived on Saturday! >_<

Went down to see Frankie today and put his dash in place to see what it looks like with the seats and steering wheel!...

Gorgeous!!

I think I've decided that I'll be buying Frankie some 7.5 brakes and drop him down to 10's! :)

Also ...

I'm 80% sure that I'm going to make him an MPi! :dontgetit:

80% has just dropped to 50% as the engine I had my eye on has been sold! Serves me right for faffing about! :shifty:

Back to the battle in my head!

I realise that if I was to put an MPi in, that it's not that easy! :)

It's part of the reason why I'm in 2 minds about it. There's also the cost and the time! This is why I think in some ways it'd be easier to stick to a Carb and just drop in a 998 that I have here - for ease and to actually get it on the road! But then I think that it's my works van - I need the reliability and need a decent amount of power to be able to pick-up nicely with all my clobber in the back!

My brain is seriously parted and confused ATM! :)

But I know that if I did go MPi, we'd be able to do it properly! My infinitely better half is unbelievably talented when it comes to Minis and I have every faith in him! :)

Afterall, it's going to be my work van for years to come, so we want to be happy with it! I'm going to the extent of designing the interior and modifying with MPi steering column/rack etc and putting it on 10" wheels - Why not just go the whole distance and do exactly what we want?

But then it's cost and time! :errr:

But then it's my van! :ermm:

But then it's cost and time ..............  >_<

To put an MPI in easily, you really need a donor car to just rip everything out of, then put straight into the van. That cuts out pretty much all your issues, bar the fuel tank

I reckon you should go for it Bean, a 998 would be compromising and you'd just regret it once it was in  Spend the extra money and time on him, he'll be worth it in the end! Theres no rush is there? You've got Reggie to use while Frankies waiting around, hes not really costing you anything is he?
